The Eco-Lodge is located at Costa Rica’s Northern Pacific Mountains with a magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano and the Arenal and Coter Lakes. Ideal for relaxing and for getting away from a hectic day to day life, the Eco-Lodge is the perfect for focusing your attention back on yourself or for spending quality time with your loved ones.
The area that surrounds the Eco-Lodge is wonderful rain forest rich in flora and fauna. Activities from bird watching to kayaking are just a few of what you can do.
One of the major attractions at the Eco-Lodge is the one on one interaction the guest may have with the local Maleku Indians. The Eco-Lodge has maintained a policy of contributing to the environment in both a natural and cultural way. An agreement was made with the local Maleku Indians, which live at about 30 kilometers from the lodge, to give them a space in which they can sell their crafts and interacting with the visitor. The Maleku’s have built two palenques on the reserve in which guests can learn first jand about their traditions and purchase their beautifully colored masks and crafts.
The Eco-Lodge also has an awesome 9 platform canopy within its reserve. At just a short walk away, you will walk into the forest at which point you will begin an adventurous journey through the treetops.
The Lake Arenal provides a wonderful place for kayaking and the Nuevo Arenal town offers nice shops which sell beautifully carved wood, souvenirs and other local crafts. |
